About Armenia

Armenia is a landlocked country located in the South Caucasus, sharing borders with Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Iran. It has a rich history, being one of the world’s oldest civilizations and the first nation to adopt Christianity as a state religion in 301 AD. The capital city, Yerevan, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.

Armenia is known for its stunning mountain landscapes, ancient monasteries, and cultural heritage, which includes the Armenian alphabet and khachkars (carved stone crosses). The country has a resilient spirit shaped by historical challenges, including the Armenian genocide of 1915. Today, Armenia is a developing nation with a strong diaspora worldwide.
